What paints did you use? I've been looking for some good paints to do this to a few of them myself.

I think I'd pay however much the price is for: the pony base itself (how much blind bags are), how much each color of paint I'd want that you'd need, and shipping. Perhaps more.
Sorry, don't want to seem like I wouldn't pay you or would only be giving you too little. I just don't think I'd pay buckets for a tiny painted pony...unless they were heavily modded with clay details or something. Or unless youd give a discount or other offer for someone who would want to buy more than one. C: either way I look forward to seeing others if you make them.

Now that I've re-read everything, it doesn't seem like youd make much profit if you did it my way unless you already had all the materials you'd need. I'm not good at pricing things...so maybe go off the base prices and everything to give you more money. I'm sure someone has already said something like that if you haven't already thought it yourself. I'll stop talking now x) these are quite lovely, though.

Of course taking into consideration of complexity too I understand how something with tons of small different colored spots and zig zags would be more expensive.

while I understand where you're coming from, material costs are pretty low for these things compared to labour. One of these ponies can take me a couple of hours, maybe less if I batch paint them but not a whole lot. So I'd need to charge quite a bit to make it worth the *time*. If you wouldn't want to pay that, that's fine, but they're never gonna be a couple of bucks simply because they are so labour intensive. Remember that digital artists have effectively zero marginal costs but charge a lot to cover the time it takes to paint a picture.

Oh yes I know. Im aware it's more the time it takes to simply paint one. I don't mean to be rude or to insult. Only speaking my own opinion though I know whole heatedly where you come from as well as every other artist.

These are probably the best blindbag repaints I've seen yet! Pony base + paint cost + a certain charge per hour, maybe? Instead of doing "tiers" for different levels of complexity, just let it vary depending on how long it takes?

Citadel paints, they're made by games workshop for painting miniatures

Curious, what sort of finish/topcoat did you put on them? I've been looking for one that's good for small toys/figures. Been meaning to paint a few of my own ponies as well, and these are some of the best looking paint jobs I've seen on these guys!

It's a polyurethane varnish, it's unbranded, I just bought it off the internet from a craft supplies site.

How much are you charging for customs of these? ^^

At the moment it's £10 for a simple repaint, £15 for a complex repaint and £20+ for anything with additional sculpting like hats, hairdos or armour. The ones in the picture fall firmly in the £15 category, £10 would be something like a single colour body, single colour mane and a cutie mark, most hasbro owned ponies would fall here unless they have additional accessories.
