On top is Luka Moonscape an omega wolf who is a goof ball and quite lazy. He likes to run but thinks hunting is too much work so he'll stay with the pups. : x
On the bottom is Krougar a warg. Even though wargs are much bigger then wolves he's extra tall and rather scrawny. His job in a pack of wargs is to be the scout or watcher. Track the prey or keep watch of the pack. If he is to join the pack in a hunt he is the runner. Large and fast enough to spook the prey but not take it down. He merely runs it exhausted and to the awaiting pack. Because of his long legs he is VERY fast. He is of course not Alpha nor is he Beta but he is a very important member of the pack and will never be Omega.
~~~ I plan to use these fellas for roleplay... whenever I actually get down to it. XD I might change Krougar's patterns but I'm very happy with his coloring and his face markings. :3 ( My wargs behave much like wolves but live in a fantasy setting. They are bigger then wolves... and carry horns on their heads. Krougar just happens to only have a single horn. My wargs also have longer ears... kinda inspired by the canid at the end of Outlaw Star. )
Yep! Wargs are often used as mounts... They appear in Lord of the Rings too as a mount. Best mount ever too since they can attack too... unlike a horse or something in games. XD Tolkien has them more like hyenas but DnD describes them as large dark colored wolves. For my lil ol world they can have tusks and horns. :3 Makes them stand out more then a dire wolf ( which can be confused with a werewolf since they're bulky ) I might have it all weird and wrong but I like my wargs with horns/tusks. XD
Pffft lol, yeah. The wargs in RO apparently has a longish tongue, that they attack your enemies with (o .o), and they also have longer tails than a normal wolf too. They can be any colour to match what colours your chart is wearing, but their default is a slate colour. They're VERY bulky, and they always have a big ol' scar over their right eye.
Lol yeah, I like that idea better, makes em seem more original. :3
