I like to imagine that Princess Luna, being the mistress of the night, loves all things that are dark and creepy. I mean, she has guards with dragon wings and snake eyes, a chariot with iron spikes and chains, and a cloak made of live bats. I wouldn't be surprised if she slept in a coffin.

First off, I'm faving this RIGHT NOW because of how well you captured the contrast between the Royal Pony Sisters in this one pic. Seriously, you made it clear in this pic that they're as different as their domains of rulership.
Now I'm going to ask about the one detail that nags me- where are the light sources reflected by their eyes? The rest of the scene has lighting that makes sense- just off the TV screen- but the eyes seem to have three light sources bouncing off them. It kinda looks like the reflection pattern depicted in some 'How to draw anime-sty;e' books I've flipped through.

You might be thinking of "Apollo 18". That's the dark and creepy one, in which some of the moon rocks come to life.
Of course, "Apollo 13" had its white-knuckle moments; the scariest part was that a person's life might depend on a widget that was installed months ago, possibly by a technician barely able to focus on his job for the Monday-morning hangover following a wild weekend of partying.
