Yes! Yes it is! His name is Jimmy Skunk. That show used to be on TV Ontario after Polka Dot Door every day and I'd always watch and wait to see the part at the ending with Jimmy trying to catch a beetle on a tree.

I think that show turned me into a furry. :P
