Yet another comic featuring those accursed stepping stones! Since moving back to my old house in Virginia I’ve spent some more time at those stones and took some mental reference shots to get more of the details down (like the concrete path under the stones themselves and the surrounding wooded areas). Unfortunately I discovered on one of my last trips out into the woods that somewhere upstream the water flow was blocked, most likely by debris from a recent storm… but as a result it has become a stagnant pool rather than a flowing creek, which has caused the area around the stones to dry out a bit.

It’s kind of sad how things change as time goes on. Nothing is ever exactly as you remember it when you were a kid.
