He's dead.
In a story I SHOULD be writing (haha), Sueche is a Plague Dog. In WWIII, what is left of the human race has begun testing on smart and dangerous hybrids or mutts. Each scientist is assigned his own dog, depending on his rank.
Sueche, (German for Plague), was owned by a young rookie who had just started out. They bond only with their trainer.
A Plague Dog is a result of human testing, and deadly diseases. Sueche is a German Shepherd/Gray Wolf, who was injected with small doses of the Bubonic Plague. Eventually the body and DNA accepts the disease, and they become one. The dog in question therefore becomes immune to the disease, and carries it throughout its entire life. In a case like this, noone is allowed to touch the dogs, or they will become horribly ill, then eventually die. When the testing is complete, they will send a small group of dogs with the same disease (so as not to infect each other), to the enemies. Usually these dogs will travel long distances in order to find them. Most are shot on sight, some are kept as pets. Either way, any contact within a few feet of these dogs mean certain death.
Here, Sueche has had a different run. A sneak attack left his young master dead, and the poor dog with no one. It's rare for a Plague Dog to fully love its owner, but unfortunately Sueche was not that dog.
Searching for a home he will never find, an owner he will never have, he stops in the road to take in the night air. What he doesn't see, is the car behind him.
The driver never saw him, either.
(Made by listening to Heaven's Not enough. Started this with no lines, ended with no lines).
