So I finally picked out and put a down payment on a new vehicle. It is a 2003 Jeep Liberty. It has 82,000 miles on it, and cost $5,000. I know I could have gotten something with less miles for this price, but I didn't like the options available, and I didn't want to go any more time without a car. This model has a 4-cylinder engine, and 5-speed manual transmission, so it should be good on gas. Fueleconomy.gov says it gets about the same gas mileage as my similarly sized (4-cylender) Ford Escape which I just had to put to rest. I am really looking forward to picking this baby up this Wednesday. I took it for a small test drive last week and it was great! It runs and shifts smoothly, super clean inside and out, and it includes a warranty =).
