Mental Break part 2: Da Gurlz.
So yeah, anyway, in addition to suddenly kicking ass, I found that said substances also make me draw. Like. A fucking. Whiz.
Well, I couldn't exactly get any fine detail in (drawing smaller would usually not work well; virtually all the images here take up 1/2 to a full 8.5x11" page), but the form. Criminy. The form.
spunky is one of my artistic idols, and one of the thing she does that continually amazes me is just outright draw the outline with almost zero underdrawing. But I was starting to do that! It felt like someone else was controlling the pencil, pulling it along.
So I was grasping shapes and forms almost immediately, and drawing very quickly at that. I averaged about 5 minutes for something like 60 images. Take THAT, Iron Artist!
These aren't the most impressive pieces I've done, but considering how I usually struggle with female forms, the fluidity here was quite a surprise to me.
Thus...Sveti, in a more flattering outfit, and Sam, for no reason, in an action shot.

Re-heally...I might need to find a way to...relax more during my own drawing sessions, then. Wouldn't mind being able to produce humanoid figures this accurately and this quickly.
Always a fan of attractive (if not necessarily detailed) girls in cool action shots, but no surprise there. ;)

Part of the problem, which I'm not sure is evident, is a lot of my first attempts at drawing were done with some kind of gel pen.
We later found some actual wood pencils (I don't do well with mechanical) and that made the details a little less scrawly ^ ^;;
And I always like hearing from straight guys if my girls turned out. I did draw a pic for Dev's straight brother...
