Thanks to
for the redlining. :D
The D'rakka are mammal-dragons who once posessed wings capable of flight. Evolution eventually removed those wings and instead gave them a stocky hyena-like build. They live in small family groups lead by a matriarch and her mate. They are omnivores, but prefer meat.
Their hide is very horse-like, covered in speak short fur that shimmers when wet. The tail is short, as they don't need a long rudder, and tipped in long stiff fur. It acts like a flag while hunting.
The horns are mostly for display, but will be used for defence if needed. Their main weapon is a pair or tusks on the lower jaw, larger in males but both genders possess them.
The long claw on the forelegs and sickle claw on the hind are vestiges of their flying ancestors, but are Sharp and can be handy if prey tries to put up a fight.
Humans who have encountered these beasts call them 'Devil-hounds' because of the horns and cloven hoof-claws.
(I'll add more later :U)
