Soo....My brother saw I had an arcade stick....so what better to break it in with than a fighting game. A fighting game he knows I think is garbage and have nothing but hate for but knows that I have not played. Street Fighter x Tekken is now in my house and that makes me angry.....looks like I gotta review this bitch now....

The thing I think is, I think this game really should've just been a Playstation Exclusive, cause Sony probably stuffed a ton of money Capcom's way to keep those extra 12 locked up just so people would buy the Vita version. If anything the fact sony wants the vita to work hinders the console players more than the fact that yes the characters are already on disc and whatnot.
Not only are Mega Man And Pac-Man complete and playable on 360, but ALL files pertaining to them are there too, artwork, ending, story, everything... and to get them working took so little effort that youtube was flooded with videos showing them off immediately after release.
They have the balls to tell people they think there's no difference between disc-locked content and DLC, quantifing that by saying it's 'just a more efficient delivery system'. Capcom really has crossed the line here.

Yeah, I'm most likely a casual, but there shouldn't be anything wrong with that. I try to learn, I try to grow. I have fun with what I play. I mean not every game has to cater to the tournament crowd. I wasn't trying to say the game is the best thing ever, I'm just saying its not the worst thing either.
try explaining that to actual namco fans I mean it was not a good concept from the start anyway tekken characters WERE made to move from side to side. This was a bad choice for capcom, and I feel very sorry for whoever pre-ordered, and have this game capcom has been fucking up pretty much, but the only game that is standing out is dragon's dogma. That's it.
That depends if Namco does want to do that right now since street fighter x tekken is not selling so well they may just scrap it, and move on.

I am a hardcore fighting gamer. I'm known in the tournament scene. But I prefer the fighters of a learning curve. 3rd Strike, the King of Fighters franchise, Soul Blade/Calibur up to 3, Neo Geo Battle Coliseum, Virtua Fighter, the list does on.
My preference is about tight controls, diverse roster, believable balancing, and above all a fun game. Most games this generation are not fun to those who are used to actual skill needed to win rather than a lame copout mechanic.

Wow, I'm seeing a lot of hate for the game...
I'm going to say this right now... I may not have liked what Capcom did overall with all of the DLC (though I heard rumours that it won't cost any more than about $20 to unlock the rest in September... ugh... September...), but get over that, ignore the fandumb and it's actually a pretty good game.
I can't say much for the online, but I've been playing it with friends and I gotta say, it's rather fun to say the least... especially if you have 3 friends over. 2 on 2 is pretty fun and Scramble Mode on makes it a completely insane. 4 fighters on the screen at once makes for some absolutely fun matches that very few games can copy.
I understand the reasons to be mad at Capcom (I have a few beefs with them too with this and other things), but hate the company for those choices and actually give the game the chance it deserves. I've rather enjoyed what of it I've played without any DLC BS or anything of the sort. The game on it's own is worth the purchase, whether or not you get the DLC.

well I made a review of it hehehe. though its me steaming. Basically its a mix bag of SF4 (which I hated) and some dumb mechanics dont fit with me or the characters for that matter. The graphics of the game make my eyes bleed and the music tears my ears drums ...Except for one stage that has a tekken track that reminds me of Kunimitsu...

It only made me imagine capcom developers running to someone with tears in their eyes and trying to make the hackers seem like the bad guys! *sniff sniff* Look what they did! They have our stuff for free! Thats good. When people ask me why I prefer shooters over fighting games...I simply refer to a classic Harris Ford movie.
