so I know many of you know about my little kitten, Coco, and his epilepsy, those that don't, this little guy has had a hard life, it started when he was found on the side of the road, trying to nurse on his dead mother, he was brought home, nursed back to health, and thrived for a while, then he broke his back right hock, and was put to bed rest, not many months later, he injured his left back leg, resulting in his legs healing a bit funny, he doesn't have full movement in his hips, but gets around just fine, his personality is more subdued and he is easily scared, but he's sill a vibrant little monster. At about a year old he started to have seizures, Grand Mal seizures where his entire body contorts and he looses control of himself, this has resulted in many times, him hurting himself with his claws and teeth, chewing off a pawpad on his back foot, or getting claws stuck in them, or in his sides, for a while we debated if it would be better to end his misery, as he was in pain constantly, and kept reopening old wounds. Recently though, the number of seizures has dropped drastically, and he is on a lower dose of medication because of this, were hoping this turn of good luck will last.
Here he can be seen snuggled in a blanket after a long nap on my lap [my leg fell asleep so he got moved to the bed] he had been laying on the blanket, but I bundled him up to move him, and instead of crawling out, he just went to sleep all snuggled inside it.
He'll be about two years old, this July.
