I love snail shells :) They're very pleasing to the eye I think.
I love the wood texture here combined with the shell patterns, and the green in the background really contrasts the reds/browns. Pretty~!

I hear ya, I have not had a good digital camera in like 10 years :| my last one is kind of dead now. I put off buying a new one for such a long time... and my parents told me to live a little and spend out on the 600D. I got the camera and a EF-S 18-135mm lens just to get me started but I really want a macro lens... but it costs about as much as what I have bought already so I have to get serious XD!
I am still playing with the camera so am not familiar with all its features yet.
I don't know who killed the snail... I just came across the shell lying in a flower bed. It wasn't damaged or anything.
