It may not seem like much, but just knowing I have the capacity to doodle makes me optimistic.
It's a proof of concept of sorts.
But I'm beginning to enjoy this drawing thing. I've been less stressed while drawing once I realized I need to stop worrying about how good what I make is and just draw more.
