That's because Vivy never never uses hers. I'm fairly certain that hedgehogs have to put their quills up in order to use them properly. I mean, since they normally lay flat, right? You should have some sort of mechanism for making them stick out. It would make it difficult for her to get a hold of you if nothing else.
