Pock is a Doct, a rare species of unknown origin. They feed on the marrow and bones of various creatures and live an average of 150-200 years. The covering over their head is a sort of mask, though it is unknown if it could ever come off as no Doct has been seen without it. Even when eating, they place the bone into a hole on the underside of the skull near the chin.

Pock in particular is a rarity. While many Docts refuse to ear carrion he exists primarily on it. He is not the ruthless killer his kind tend to be. It is uncommon, though not impossible, as every Doct is different.

Pock's tattoos were done by himself wherever he could and by various birds with the ability to use tools and with sharp beaks where he couldn't
