I haven't heard of the term "happytail" before XD
She has a bit of anxiety when it comes to her tail, and for a while we thought maybe it was allergies or pests. She always seems to be focused on her tail, constantly trying to itch it or bite it and she spins in circles trying to get at her tail. So we shaved it so we could get a really proper look at the bone structure and to see if there was any skin irritation or anything of that sort, only to find out that she just needs to see a chiropractor once every couple of weeks to put her tail back on axis. Go figure, huh? A minute with the doggy chiropracor to yank on her tail in just the right way and she stops focusing so much on it.
Because she's so intent on paying attention to her tail, we have to really try hard to get her to play with other dogs. She just wants to get at whatever is wrong with her tail, and pays no attention at all to any of the other pups and isn't interested in playing. I've been having a lot of luck recently with her playing with my own dog, Olive. Olive doesn't like to LET her sit in the corner and nom her tail, she barks at her until Pink gets up to chase her xD
This dog has such a sweet disposition, we're hoping that when she is finally done growing that it will subside. I can only guess that it's just uncomfortable and growing funny. It doesn't LOOK like anything is wrong with it, she just has short hair right now. xD

HappyTail is a condition common in labs and retrievers (or the big happy dopy dogs) where they are just SO HAPPY all the that they wag their tails into EVERYTHING- and sadly they end up breaking their tails a lot. Most dogs with happyTail end up getting them docked just so they don't break them anymore.

Oh, I understand now. We get that pretty often, but not to such an extreme. Mostly they just wag their tails so hard when they're in their crates or kennels so the ends of them kind of get a bit screwed up and funny looking. xD
This one, she's definitely a work in progress though. She's getting better. I firmly believe that she's just so entirely smart that she constantly needs to have some sort of stimulation to keep her busy, so she isn't bothered by her tail at all. Olive was really good for her, whenever she's pooped she'll just lay there and leave her backside alone.
