I've been obsessed with full metal alchemist for 8 years now, it's a huge part of me, so I'm pondering about getting the words that featured at the very end of the manga. "A lesson without pain is meaningless for you cannot gain something without sacrificing something else in return, but once you have over come it and made it your own you will gain an irreplaceable Fullmetal heart."

It's gonna take me a while to decide on it!

dayamn... i was gonna ask about the meaning of the tattoo, but those words touch me. (I've been meaning to read the manga since the first series butchered the story so bad they did it over)

It's a long story, but my time in university felt like I was living Odin's Myth - sacrifice and suffering to gain wisdom. Sometimes I wonder if it was worth it, but all I can come up with was if I'd done life any other way I probably wouldn't have learned the lessons that made me who I am today. That quote... it puts a cap at the end of that experience.

PS - I'm easy enough for an FMA fan to understand. Basically, I'm just like Ed. 90% of the time, Ed eventually did what I would have done, so, watching the show was wierd for me, like it was an RPG and I was controlling him o_O

*chuckles* Well I'm certain if there are your guy can correct them if you yourself do not. Gpt myself I've not seen anyone with a more technological feeling tat and it floored me. I have to thank you for sharing (since yes, there are a lot of freaky ass people who see "girl!" and assume she wants to be with them.) and hopefully if you get any more we'll get to see those too. Myself I've wanted one but not yet found one that... truly fits me.

I suppose it all comes down to finding the mark that fits to the canvas?

It really does take time to decide and find the right one that fits you. I went through so many designs and different locations for this. And I'm so happy I waited!

I have the feeling mine when and if it happens will end up being something custom... different. Like yours more of a design and not just a picture and such.

supposedly you can give blood even if you have tattoos. you just cant give blood a certain amount of time after getting a new tattoo. its like a year or something.

I still love this tattoo and normally I'm very much against tattoos. I just love the simplicity of this and the computer tech like vibe to it. Funny one of the comment above mentioned Tron because hearing about that film always reminds me of you because of the circuits and the blue glowy things!
