Formerly from a poor family, Pasl ended up amassing a massive wealth after he and his little brother, Embel, stumbled upon a box of extremely precious jewels that had been left untouched for nearly a century.

Unlike his brother, Pasl very much enjoys his cushy new life as a rich-kid, though he definitely doesn't believe he is superior to those with less, like his father does, and is constantly trying to reach out to his brother, who detests their new life.

One of the first things he did when coming into his new wealth was take up fencing. After several years of practically non-stop practice, the boy is quite a formidable sword-fighter.

His other interests include good books, chilled juices (which he treats like wine), and, what he calls, "slightly...less high-class entertainment" (it's speculated he's a huge fan of South Park and Heavy Metal music).

Pasl's family has several suspicious that he is gay, believing his flowery language and unusually friendly behavior to be obvious signs, but it is unconfirmed. (Though it is eventually revealed that he is, indeed, gay. He also inadvertently helps another boy his age come to terms with his sexuality after a one night stand with him.)
