Man, Maurice was what made Chuck Jones cartoons work in my opinion. There's certainly more control in the forms of this background than what was expected of Maurice, and that's not a bad thing. I already told you that I liked this piece, now I'm going to double down on my opinion and fav this.

Your size relations are wonderful here - and good eye on that perspective. Totally diggin' the wonky feel with the telephone poles etc.
There's so much dimension to this piece - The only complaint I've got is within the diner. The space within the diner is reading awfully flat.
But aside from that - an excellent layout~
