I've done this map months ago, just so give you a little impression of how the world looks in my story. Kinda in bad shape I must admit.
If you wanna know something specific, just ask.

Well, the drug war in Mexico developed in a civil war after the nuclear war in Asia. So the US occupied Mexico and fought against the drug warlords, but when they were defeated, they did not retreat and let them have their independence. So most people fear then that Mexico would become part of the US, which for obvious reason the Mexicans not want to happen.
Well, high tide of the Elbe river at the moment and also some riots in many greater cities in the Czech Republik, but compared to many other nations the nation is way better of than other countries, didn't even suffer attacks from America during the 17 minute war, unlike Poland or Germany.
Well, it is nearer than the USA, where surely most people here on FA come from. ^.=.^ And well, I try to be informed about many countries in the world, also the Czech Republik. Your nation is not so unknown, just remember the Prague Spring, the Charta 77...just a few things I can remember right now.
Oh, you are lucky. One of the few places in the US that is really safe. Not many criminals, self-sustaining with food (vertical farming in empty business skyscrapers), so not much food riots and also didn't suffer any attacks from the French Navy during the 17 minute war in 2017, unlike NYC or Washington DC.
I'm still surprised Indonesia's still able to produce crops that time. Despite of the "urbanization" attempt under way. If only today our government could read some good furry story like this rather than 30 minutes of useless speech he may have change of heart.
If it's under UN control then..... The government fell there?

Yeah, the Indonesian government fell quickly after the 6 months of suffering, the time between the nuclear war in India and the formation of the UNMC, partly because of secessionists, partly because of religious extremists, partly because some military rulers became local warlords, so the nation became totally chaotic for some months, before the armies of Australia and New Zealand pushed into the island, stabilizing at first the bigger ones like Borneo and Sumatra and then slowly did the same with the smaller ones. But the nation is all but stable.
For the fact that Indonesia is exporting food, that is pretty simple - they simply stopped producing First class food and products that were needed for cosmetics and industries in the first world like Palm oil. The areas where they grew once palm oil and other things are now used for food production, mostly rice and sweet potatos. But also urban farming and vertical farming became quite important, to supply the still growing population of the cities. But this only work for the bigger island in the west, the eastern ones are simply too small to supply themselves, so they mostly rely on food aid from either the western island or Australia. And don't forget the meltdown in the nuclear power plant in Gorontalo.
For the political situation, Indonesia is now supervised by the UNTC, in a similar way like Bosnia Herzogovina in today's world. As soon as the situation is stable enough (stable enough means hear that the nation is unlikely to collapse in the following 2 years), a nation can apply for independence.

I see. But right now there aren't any nuclear powerplants here in Indonesia, yet. But BATAN said that there are 5 potential locations in Java island for building nuclear powerplants, rather than Gorontalo (Celebes island). Also, some uranium reserves can be found in large amount in Papua (Freeport) and Borneo island. However, the risk would be grim: if it's placed in Java island, then the majority of Indonesia's population, and the capital city of its country Jakarta, would be exposed to radiation. Think that'd be a consequence.
Still, I don't mind of the nuclear powerplant's already placed in Celebes island. But, to make it a bit more accurate, please replace it to Java island.
For the palm oil... In real life forest here is being decreased for more palm trees for palm oil.... And by 2025 it's predicted that Indonesia can no longer produce food due to its soil's diminishing quality thanks to continuous use of artificial fertilizers and pesticides
In my school, we are taught of what's called "Cultivatek" and verticulture is in one of its curriculum. In case something like the Time Traveller (minus the dragon) would happen irl.

I took my info for possible reactors in Indonesia from this website here.
And for the palm oil - the use of artificial fertilizers is highly regulated because there is only little phosphate left, or better said the people are only able to produce so much because the mining facilities in Western Sahara were destroyed during the global uprising, and they produced about 60 to 70 percent of global phosphate production which is needed for artificial fertilizers. So maybe with cautious use and revitalizing of the soil in Indonesia it may be possible.
For vertical farming - I guess in this future you can expect to see a lot of useless office blocks to converted into farming ground.

Well, I guess mostly for the facts that something like this (a meltdown) might happen, when it would happen it would not affect as much people as when it was built on a island with a dense population, but sure, it would need a lot of infrastructure to get the power to Java then.
