As a former Honda of America employee that used to build Hondas and Acuras, this makes me sad. Someone has ruined this NSX. The color, no, and there are way too many unnecessary addons. The spoiler and mirrors are crap, absolute crap... When it comes to super cars, you do not bother with addons as it takes away from what the vehicle was meant to be.
It's his car, at that point it really doesn't matter. But anyways lets see how he wreaked this car. He has a lip spoiler, an aftermarket hood, different wheels, F1 style Mirrors, side skirts, a different rear lip and a small after market spoiler. That's not a D16 civic with a poorly installed Fiberglas body kit, painted steal wheels and torched springs. It is far from some riced out p.o.s.
Also, I laugh at the Super car comment. It's a transverse Honda V6 in the back, It might as well be a Fiero or an MR2. Take an NSX today out of the dark times in car history of the mid 80s to early 90s it was created in and it becomes a lot less impressive.
Try to not take that the wrong way. I am not trying to say it's a horrible car that's not worth mentioning just saying it is not what people make it out to be, it's is not "gods gift to the driver" like some claim. It is a decent car from a time of very very bad ones.

I would be inclined to think a car that pulls .98g and hits 60 in 5.2 stand far and above the likes of the MR2 or Fiero. Heck in it's own time it managed faster Ring laps than many other super cars including the likes of the Diablo GT. And even in modern times the NSX is still an impressive car simply on account of it's handling. Examples with even slightly more powerful engines keep pace with modern super cars and in racing it's always been a tough competitor.
I do hear what you're saying, sure it's not quite in Ferrari or Lambo territory, but sure I'd still consider the NSX a supercar. Not the most powerful beast out there but it handled magnificently and incorporated lots of cutting edge race car technology from its day.
Also it does look very exotic and I think its a great design (all of the sheet metal was hand crafted with english wheels and hammers too). I don't think the owner really ruined it, but I have to agree this is not the type of vehicle that you go slap some cheesy aftermarket mirrors on. And although it's just a Honda V6 the car was still fast, nothing to scoff at by any means. Nothing like the Fiero at all besides the fact that it was mid-engine. The Fiero was based on a Chevy Chevette platform making it handle pretty poorly and was very slow, it was even marketed as a sporty looking economy commuter car. Fieros and MR2s are little 4 cylinders, the NSX made around 300hp. No it didn't have the brute power of a V10 or anything but it isn't nearly as bad or ho-hum as you're making it out to be. Did you know that the NSX was even raced in the 24hr lemans race?
It It was ridiculously priced for what it was, I'll agree it isn't one of the best supercars out there, but I'd say it still fits in in that class even if it is at the low end. It's no regular car for sure and it is by far the best car that Honda has ever built. You're right, no gift of the gods, but it's a little more than "a decent car from a time of very bad ones"

I am just gonna keep this short.
I don't hate the car. I don't think the car's bad. But, I think many people think far too much of the NSX. The fact it's over praised that's my issue with it. It's not bad it's just not the pinnacle of automotive engineering as some fan boys of this car act as it is.

If one is looking at cars in the 10k range, then they've no right or reason to ever expect anything even remotely near any kind of decent sports car. In that price range if someone wants a good car then they should be setting their sights toward cars like the MR2, RSX, Integra, Prelude, Celica, MAYBE a Supra and so forth and so on.
Oohhh first gen NSX! My coach has a '93 NSX! I dove it a few times, and it's in a class by itself. This was one of the first actual supercars in my opinion. At $100,000 new (in '93 dollars), this is relatively affordable. The only downside is that all four tires point in very slightly different directions, so new tyres are needed every 5000 miles :p

Lol, wow. Just go home.
Clearly neither of them knew what the hell they were talking about, so why argue about it? Looks like they both lost that argument lol. Someone probably heard that Ferrari are fast and exotic looking so that's exactly what this car must be! Hahaha
I love it when people who know nothing about cars at all try to talk about them like they do. Why, does it make you feel important, do you just hope nobody will call you out on it? Heh, sometimes I'll get into conversations with these people and just pretend I don't know much about cars and just let them go on about it, and feed into it. It's so funny to hear what they come up and try to tell you about like they're teaching you something even though they're wayyy off base.
This is one nice lamborghini of course! (JK)
