Reoku ran as fast as he could through the dark of night, nearly out of breath as he glanced behind him. The huge mass of horrid goo was still chasing him, the stench of whatever it was made of creeping up on him to remind the catboy thief that the danger was only getting closer. "Dammit...how did this happen? What is that thing, anyway?" He cursed under his breath, frantically trying to search for a place to hide from the sloppy terror that threatened to swallow him up in disgusting sludge. The thick sucking and glorping sounds coming from behind him made him shudder. They even seemed to be getting louder. Turning back around to look ahead of him, Reoku felt something other than the ground under his boots. This something...was sticky.

His forward momentum caused him to nearly fall flat on is face, though he was able to catch himself with his hands. Groaning, he surveyed the situation, only to find out that the monstrous blob that had been chasing him had managed to shoot out a sheet of its sticky slime to trap him; and the trap had worked with frightening success. The bulbous mass of the rancid blob was soon upon the poor catboy. First, he felt the thick slime ooze over his right boot, slurping it up into its wobbling mass. His tail was next to be lost in the odious goo, and though he tried to pull his other leg away, his other boot managed to be grabbed and sucked upon. Try as he might to claw his way free, Reoku found that the slime was just too thick and sticky to get out of. He gave one more glance back, seeing the round, pulsating blob loom over him. The smell only got worse, but he had no time to cringe. All he could do was gasp as he was about to be engulfed by the creeping, sloppy horror.
