Geoff paused, looking back at her over his shoulder, then nodding for her to follow him. "I won't leave you alone, Charlie." he said softly, trying to smile for her, but upon failing to manage even that small sign of affection, he turned with her trailing on his heels and headed back to his apartment. ~~

Little tid-bit of a story I'm trying to work on about these two. They're angels, and Geoff chose to leave heaven because he got bored, and saw earth as a bright new play ground. Charlie, who is desperately in love with Geoff and had never known any better than to follow his every move up in heaven, frantically tries to persuade him to stay, and reluctantly follows him to earth when he leaves, regardless of his instruction for her to stay in heaven because she's too naive and fragile to last very long on earth. She of course ignores this wisdom and follows him blindly, and finds herself quickly thrown into a sticky situation involving several horny thugs. Lucky for her, Geoff was still nearby and heard her scream- so he saved her and reluctantly takes her to the place he's decided to stay, for lack of a better place to put her.

Definitely some of my better art, if I don't say so myself. lol
