Here I have a throw back to some traditional media cutouts using gouache, watercolor pencils and cut paper. One of my favorite plants is the sundew: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Drosera and I recently picked up my own little version this weekend. They're a carnivorous plant that traps insects using small, sticky, ruby red globs and then the plant curls in on itself and digests the dead insects. They're strange, alien and also incredibly beautiful. I hope you enjoy!
