The "first!" thing is rude itself. No one cares about you getting first comment. It only does exactly like I said: make you look like a douche. You're better than that.
You know whenever you comment it tells the artist that someone commented on her work, and she'll take a look and see it's just a stupid "First!" comment, effectively wasting her time.
Finally, honest feedback whether it be an in-depth critique or a simple "oh, she looks beautiful!" makes a BIG difference to the artist.
You're a writer, aren't you? How would it feel if someone never gave you any feedback on your work? Would you continue doing it? Would you even bother uploading anything? You're a member of :ilovecritique: for crying out loud! You of all people should understand the value of feedback!
I'm the guy who leaves bad (okay, horrible) puns everywhere but I still give honest feedback when I can. :p

Well, it's true that "First!"ing does effectively objectify her work, but it also gives me a very good feeling; a rush that cannot be attained through any other means. The First! is a divine ritual of sorts.
And the difference it makes is entirely dependent on how many other comments they get. You can't really compare us because artists always receive more praise & recognition for the simple fact that their work can be observed much quicker without much of an obligation. Not to say that she doesn't deserve it, because she most certainly does, but that's the way it is. The reason I bring that up is because most artists at her level or higher do not flinch at comments or favorites because they receive so many. Lavishing more praise upon someone who already gets plenty will not affect them, unfortunately.
Know what I mean? :P

Well, if you want to continue looking like a douche, I can't stop you. But seriously, don't kid yourself. It's not even close to being a divine ritual, or even a real rush. Running downhill at full speed is a rush. Jumping out of plane is a rush. Hell, maybe getting the final kill in an intense online FPS can be considered a rush. What you're doing is "winning" an imaginary game that only you are playing. It's basically masturbating. A cheap momentary thrill that you shouldn't be doing in front of other people.
Just because an artist "at her level" receives so many comments and favorites doesn't mean each one is insignificant. I'm not Luvon, so I can't say for certain how she feels. Hell, we shouldn't even be having this discussion on her work because we're not even talking about it.
No matter how many comments an artist or writer receives, they are entitled to some kind of feedback, positive or negative. There's no reason they would share their work otherwise, and no reason they should have to put up with pointless comments such as "Firsts!" simply because they "get so many comments, anyway."

Someone who does not First cannot possible fathom its greatness. You don't need to understand, but speaking to me in such a condescending way because you disagree is quite a bigoted opinion.
Well, Luvon seems to submit several things at one time and gets several comments on each, so I severely doubt that one out of those dozens that isn't super-significant, or some sort of praise, is going to damage her self-conscious. You're worrying about nothing.
Tell you what: if she says she doesn't like it, I'll stop. No reason to otherwise, especially not because some self-righteous knight-in-shining-armor feels that he needs to swoop in and save the day.
Gomen ne! ^_^
