I couldn't help but finish this picture after I started it. Calvin and hobbes has always been an inspiration to me and it still touches my heart whenever I read it. I challenge anyone who has never read any, to pick up a book and start. You'll be a fan for life. Here, we have Calvin grown up sitting with his son (who I've named Kevin in my head) playing with Hobbes. Calvin's wife Susie looks on from the doorway. The dialogue in my head is as follows

Calvin: "Kev look! It's Hobbes! Did I ever tell you the time we went to Mars? He was always there with me, and now, he'll always be there with you. Take good care of him."

Susie: "It's time for bed dear."

Calvin: "Oh but look at him Sus, he's squeaking away like a little mouse. He isn't tired yet."

Susie: "Cal, he's gotta sleep. He can play Hobbes in his crib till he falls asleep."

Calvin: "Okay hon. Alright Kev-kev, mom says its time for bed. Hobbes will keep the monsters at bay while you sleep. Don't let him hog all the covers."
