Good job. The breastplate often is ivory colored, though natural materials that are horn color are correct as well.
In Native American arts, these are usually made out of the fingerbones of your enemies, and later they were fashioned out of horn segments carved into pipe segments that were about finger length or long bead size in order to be dark/black and these were trade goods, and as well fit better with the sensibilities of the settlers, and later of course as warfare sort of calmed down, actual fingerbones came in shorter supply.
So these were known as the bone pipe breastplate, or horn pipe chestpiece (a lot less commonly).
Of course animal bones and ivory could be used for bone pipe, and as well plastic beads, but a plastic indian is just as much a cliche as a rhinestone cowboy.
