Basically one of the Mane Six, newly married, gets herself in a family way. In her search for information, she is surprised to discover that the pioneer town of Ponyville celebrated someone she knows as its brilliant resident midwife. What follows is a dive into Ponyville's antiquity, raising questions about the politics of modern medicine and bringing the mares of Ponyville together via their shared history.
