Here's Ranger trying to keep up with a train with his wings tied, and himself tied to a train by banditos. They catched him during the train ambush, they took a train and "punished" the gryphon for getting in their way, now they have a great fun from shooting at his legs and watching his chase with death.

Wait for a fitting rock in between you and the train, then try to speed ahead and wrap the rope around the rock as often as you can. Either the rope is teared apart or the train will be lift off the trail - either way that might give you the chance to get your tush out. That'd be the only thing that comes to my mind to have at least a chance to escape this nasty situation.
