Earlier today, my sister gave birth to a daughter making me an uncle once again. While at the hospital, I doodled a baby eagle fursona of my new niece since I have a picture of my other nieces and nephews in eagle fursona form. http://www.furaffinity.net/view/6797106/ is the picture in question and was made so that my fursona may have nieces and nephews as well as siblings (by whom I have yet to draw, LOL).
Since she is a newly hatched baby eagle, I made her eyes with a squint like how many newborn babies. I also gave a tuff on the top of the head, a suggestion from my mother, for added cuteness. Since she is a girl, I have her wrapped in a pink blanket with a green background since green is opposite in color to pink.
I also gave her green eyes for the reason that I have, in my head, the idea that the avian race that D. Dan is from, has different feather and eye colors based on their innate abilities. These abilities are centered around aspects of metals and stones. In the case of the new niece in the picture, green eyes relates to copper. Feather color is still unknown since all feathers are white at first and develop color and various highlights as time passes. Copper types in the Adlerian race denotes an innate ability for skilled merchants and agile defenders. ^\/^.
I have yet to come up with a name for this fursona version of my newest niece. ^\/^.

The picture of a baby eagle might be cute and heartwarming but it pays to keep in mind that many species of eagle take sibling rivalry to the extreme. Many species of eagle lay two eggs, but the older, larger chick frequently kills its younger sibling once it has hatched or even eats the egg if it hasn't hatched. The dominant chick tends to be the female, as they are bigger than the male. The parents take no action to stop the killing.
