oh hey, I got a new tablet pen yesterday in the mail, how excited am I? warm up character sketch to get back into the groove.
name: Mess
age:26
species: cat (scottish fold)
height: 5'
weight: 93 lbs
this guy has his own account, but it isn't set up yet and I don't feel like doing it from the library. he'll eventually be a partial fursuit.
I mostly wanted to play with a character who has all the mental fuckups I have without having to worry about people calling me out as whining or looking for attention, because that's really not the point. I just want to be able to post art pertaining to the mood swings and nasty ups and downs I deal with a lot. don't give a shit for pity, so please don't accuse me of looking for it.
he's supposed to have my build. he's about my weight. nothing too complex, just snowshoe markings on a scottish fold. scrawny, but has a lot of fluff. big, grey-blue eyes. teensy ears. grapefruit-shaped head. little paws. and even though there are retractable claws, he's basically declawed from a lifetime of biting them.
I won't go into all the disorders and phobias he has here, because I want to detail that on his full ref sheet rather than this one. it's a nice, long list. and no, it isn't one I came up with alone. psychologists/-iatrists love me. I just want a character I can be honest with when drawing, that's all.
that's about enough of that.

I really like this character.
I also miss you like crazy and am scheming something, and this scheme requires your mailing address. (Which I have lost, because that is what Ash is good at.) So if you could note/email me your address, that would be COOL BEANS. <3
Did I mention I miss you? ;-;

No worries my brotha. I see art for what it is, and I don't, in any seance, judge the artist for it. That misses the point of art all together.
I love your work and I'm happy to hear you got a killer new tablet. :D I look forward to all the amazing pieces that will come from it. Like this pic fo example.^^
Peace n love, my man. :]

heeey, I still need to slap some dreads on your commission, dude. I just realized I haven't done that yet.
thanks much, though. It's nice to know there are folks out there who'll appreciate the character and art for what it is without trying to guilt me into feeling bad for occasionally feeling bad. you're a pretty awesome fellow, have I told you that recently? We gots to get together sometime and chill.

Haha, no sweat man. Take your time.^^ And you're very welcome. I for one think that true art is all about the emotions of the artist behind it. And I find it very noble of you to use your art as a somewhat vent to harness those bad feelings in to an amazing, moving piece. :]
And much obliged, friend. You're a pretty groovy cat yourself. I agree a chill should be in order.
