I don't normally see all these kinds of colorful beetles, so I'm happy when I do find them.

I can't imagine having a multitude of them. :)

They seem to like rose bushes, for some reason. Actually there aren't too many truly colorful bugs around here, which is why I recognized this one right off the bat. (Most of our beetles are brown and black, or brownish black.)

I think it was pooing on the leaf or I scared it, based on some of the other photos I have of it...so probably not too tasty. :P

We have a rather large diversity of bug life here. Most people don't notice them though.

You'd be surprised what you can find if you make a point to look for it.
