Felt like i wanted to do a bit more Elder Scrolls art. Just started another playthrough of Morrowind and ran into the Kwamas again. Which I find fascinating so I had Cog-Rein pick up a Forager because he is curious. Even if the forager wants to bite his snout off.
Drew this in about 2 hours.

Exactly my frustration as well. I've been a die hard Elder Scrolls fan since Daggerfall (#2) But Skyrim has brought in the most "fans" whether it be gamers or furries because of the Saxhleel or Khajiit. They also just see it as a standard Tolkkien Fantasy world when it definitely not. Drives me nuts when I see the uninformed talk about it. Such as the Dwemer. So many people think they are the short bearded people in all fantasy worlds when they are just another elven race as tall as a normal man.
Then theres people always bringing up how argonians couldn't survive Skyrim's climate but the fact they are in reality Nirn's best "adaptive life form" they can't be poisoned, they can't be infected by most diseases (only lycanthropy or Vampire's) They also adapt to the environment they are in and the Hist trees can transform them into warmachines. (AKA How they totally ransacked all of Morrowind so easily.) So they are part tree and not reptillian/amphibian haha.
Also not to stab at people who draw male argonians together getting busy but from a lore standpoint in Argonian physiology is that argonians can change genders in the needs of multiplying.
So... in a sense I believe one of the 2 males would gradually turn female overtime. The only time homosexuality would work for argonians is with a race they can't reproduce with.

Anything that has been.. well made up by another (In this case Bethesda) is liable to change at their whim. The Lore of Argonians has changed from game to game and will continue to do so, I am sure... Honestly I stopped caring after Oblivion. I crack me up to have a conversations with Elder Scroll 'fans' as you put, about the lore or the history of the games... Skyrim this, Skyrim that. Yes it is a great game but good God they mainstreamed the FUCK out of it. Played through it, got all my achievements and moved on...
The games? yes they have been mainstreamed but the Lore hasn't. The only time Lore has changed was when Redguard came out. That introduced the most lore change and introduced more lore then any other. The only thing that changes with the races is their description for in game purposes. Of course Saxhleel are open to huge amount of change since nearly nothing is known about them. But the recent Novels opened up alot about them.

Add alot more depth to them, including their own language.
So Elder Scrolls only changes its... appearance for the media and public to understand but lore hasn't been changed. No book in Elder Scrolls has changed the only thing that confuses people are the simplified things the games show. (Such as the size of the provinces aren't what the game shows. Supposedly Cyrodiil alone is as big as the state of Texas in real scale.) Alduin is nerfed down to an eazy fight for the game but he is probably Alot bigger if he were to be described in a novel and lore.

I used to follow all the latest lore and read through pages and pages of it on UESP. Funny thing is that I have not done it in a while. Guess I just don't have the time. We all get old have have to pay bills.. Ugh. I have not even read the Novels because reading bores the shit out of me. I was tempted to read them because there were in fact based in Black Marsh. That was the closest I had ever got. :p
