I'm in the first Portfolio class this quarter (that's a scary thought X_x ) and the majority of the class (if not just..the whole thing...) is the pre-production stage of the animated short we include with our final portfolio. Our teacher had us write up ten ideas, then whittle them down to three favorites (after class critique). Those three favorites we will then present to the department board, who will choose the one they want us to do for the final animation.

One of the other ideas (one my instructor suggested I use) was a prehistoric hunting scene. I thought back to my Dino Hunt pic http://www.furaffinity.net/view/7383610/ and decided I wanted to use Deinonychus again. This time, though, I actually looked up the prey critters near him I chose Sauropelta.

Like the frogmouth, these are really early sketches on a tablet that has decided it despises me so they still need a bit of help...but I do like the sauropelta profile, his run cycle, and the deinonychus' profile.
