Isuulos is the species name for this 'hey letsee how crazy I can make this thing look' snake like creature. I thought it would be neat to design these hands because well...they can grapple things really well! They even fold their fingers backwards. Why are they like that? Well it looks weird on purpose that's why. I imagined it for tree climbing but I obviously didn't think that one all the way though. Aside from that it's amphibious. The webbed under spines can be used more or less to walk on the ground. Even got a big tail fin for swimming in water obviously and doesn't have skin on it's face. It's made of Keratin I suppose, that's hard and naturally created.
