After leaving Southampton on 10 April 1912, R.M.S Titanic called at Cherbourg in France and Queenstown (now Cobh) in Ireland before heading westwards towards New York. four days into the crossing and about 375 miles (600 km) south of Newfoundland, At approximately 11:40 P.M. on April 14, the R.M.S Titanic struck an iceberge.
At 2:22 A.M. on April 15, roughly two hours and forty minutes later,
the R.M.S Titanic plunged to the bottom of the ocean, Around 4 am, RMS Carpathia arrived on the scene in response to Titanic's earlier distress calls. 710 people survived the disaster and were conveyed by Carpathia to New York, Titanic's original destination, while 1,517 people lost their lives.
And so I post this picture of the R.M.S Titanic in memory of all those lost their lives that fateful night, may there memories live on.....

It is a sad thing that this disaster happened. Almost as sad is that only AFTER it happened, did a lot of matintime laws change for the better, and shipbuilding took a leap forwards.
Lifeboats enough for ALL people on board became compulsary, bulkheads that were sealed entirely became standard in shipbuilding, and the three screw design that contributed to the ships general unsteerability was removed in favour of much more better 4 screw layout. Also, the law of woman and children first was changed to familys first, after so many familes were rent apart form the tragedy.
Its a sad thing, but at least some good came from it
and the picture, its pretty damn stunning Jett!
