Finally got a decent example of my small pony beanie pattern done! I actually made a pair of these this week.
Most pony beanies I've seen are super-simple, just sandwiches of fabric without a lot of shape to them, so I felt like I wanted to make something more elaborate. She's about nine inches long, so she's not super-duper teeny, she's around the size of a Beanie Baby in fact.

Not very. I didn't save most of the cat pics, but here's one I thought was funny enough to keep. http://www.sparkcostumes.com/photos.....l_DSCN2273.JPG
I'm definitely interested in a possible commission. I've been looking around at a few different plush makers for a good Rainbow Dash plush. Do you have any idea if you plan to use embroidered eyes/cutie marks in the future?
I'd probably be interested in the "Large pony "Mane" type. $240 A big, chubby, adorable, just-right-to-cuddle two foot tall pony." type.

Yep. Well, I did two nearly identical Fluttershys, http://www.sparkcostumes.com/photos.....s/DSCN2238.JPG One has embroidered eyes and one doesn't. I'm doing a Scootaloo based on that pattern now, though she's slightly modified. Got a large Rainbow Dash coming up but it won't be done until summer.
The "large" size actually might be a big. I have somewhat of a pose in mind and was thinking maybe a bit smaller than the large ones too. If working with making a new pattern is something you might be interested in doing, we might need to talk once your schedule clears up. I'm thinking of more of a laying pose, they have a few nice poses in a few episodes of the show that I think would display a bit better than a standing pose.
Well, I'm not opposed to trying a new pose, no. I should mention that my schedule will never clear up though. I haven't had a clear schedule in the last six or seven years. :) I much prefer to have a nice queue lined up so that I'm never short on work, as this is my full time job.
Yeah, there are a few people out there who do good ones, but not a lot. :)
I will be making a life size (three foot) Rainbow Dash this coming week, btw. So I will have a good Rainbow Dash example, just in a larger pattern, but most of my ponies are based on the same one, I just scale them up or down. Re-working one to pose differently will be interesting!
