I think what happened was that I didn't listen to the song and master it on my good headphones. All speaker systems are different. :(

I prefer simple headphones without that rap emphasis on bass, a song is more than JUST BASS people.

My speakers exaggerate the bass too so I don't trust them either. My imac speakers work just fine on getting the right frequencies out, but some are omitted from them sadly.

but it's best to listen to a song on as many different sound systems as possible just so you can get the whole spectrum, my best stuff is stuff that I've listened to on multiple systems before mastering.
