When I booted the game up during my second day of play, I actually started it about three turns earlier than I had been when I stopped playing. The only instance of “cheating” you can call me on. Because I had the misfortune of losing one of my Tiremes to Barbarian Ships while attempting to explore the general area between what would be Japan and Alaska, in an attempt both to further explore and also to possibly reach the Americas. But there were a fuckton of undiscovered Barbarian Encampments along the coastal islands in this area paired with a crapton of Galleys. Way too much for a lone boat to handle on its own. I tried to go around them all, but would just run into more. So upon deliberation of my strategies, I decided to go ahead and reset a few turns earlier, abandon exploration and attempt to rescue the ship by bringing it home. By doing so, the loss of the ship was avoided. Let’s pretend it was a psychic premonition...
