LOL! So, they were both cubs? (Or whatever you call a little hyena.) Heh. It would be a different story, if the hyena was an adult -- like the ones Simba and Nala met ...

That's my theory at least XD Somehow Scar had to become friendly with them. In my fan fiction cub Shenzi wanders into the Pridelands and Taka is the first lion she meets (thankfully for her) I always saw Shenzi as the hyena leader in TLK, so she'd be the clan's princess here (and I have heard that term used for hyenas - since females rule in hyena society) If Taka were to help her, well...maybe his encounter with the rest of the clan would go better than Simba and Nala's did. XD They always seemed as if they'd known each other for a long time so :D

PS: yup the proper term for a young hyena is a cub, at least from everything I've read/seen about them XD they're closer to felines than they are to canines...unusual creatures though, let's just say they're unique XD
