Just peeking around a pillar at a local con while dressed up in some of my medieval stuff. I had a good time playing around with the half-suit I made... it has its flaws, but isn't too horrible. The 'eyeshine' behind the pupils in the eyes is meant to be seen in brighter light, so it's super green here O.o

Well, folklorically speaking, not all werewolves were slavering beasts. Take the werewolves of Ossory, for example. Thus, I have little problem with being a slightly civilized, clothed werewolf.
That and it's a heck of a lot cooler and keeps me from dying of heat in an atmosphere that isn't friendly for monster-wearing.

there are two mailing lists you may want to get on.
Ohiofur which covers furry events in all of the state.
http://www.ohiofur.net/ you have to subscribe to it.
and there is the Morpicon mailing list, altho it is used more for events and discussions in the central Ohio area, than just for the con.

A local event coming up...
FURRIES AT THE COLUMBUS ZOO

and visit the zoo! (Please read the important notes below)

Saturday, April 28th
We’ll meet outside the gates starting at 11:30am, and we’ll go in as a group at
noon.
The zoo closes at 5pm. We could go out to dinner afterwards depending on group
opinion.

The Columbus Zoo
4850 West Powell Rd. Powell OH 43065

***PLEASE NOTE***
This event will be filmed for the documentary THROUGH FOX’S EYES, directed by
Eric “Ashaya” Risher.

Zoos are very particular about anyone dressed in costumes that could be confused
as official zoo mascots or representatives. Ears, tails, and furry accessories
are fine...just don’t wear suits or anything that covers your face.
Visit the zoo’s website for more information — http://www.colszoo.org/
Please RSVP to [ashaya88@aol.com] so I can get a general headcount.
See you there!

I LOVE fursuits like this
I myself am a toony-suit fan, but there's something...magical and fantastical about the medieval fursuits that make me feel like I stepped into a world dominated by JRR Tolkien, Brian Froud, Jim Henson and all the other fantasy geniuses. This looks so awesome! It's almost like a seer, creeping around the corner with softly glowing eyes, beckoning whoever's near to the worlds possessed in their hands and staff.
Absolutely BEAUTIFUL work on this, just amazing <3

To be honest, the actual animal parts of this aren't specifically supposed to be for medieval costuming... I actually tested it first in a steampunk outfit. But I ADORE the fantasy genre and certainly plan on wearing this combination of costume pieces a lot! And, quite frankly, if wearing this costume makes anyone feel like they've been transported to any of those worlds, Then I'm not only flatterd, but honored.
Thank you SO very much... this was all so kind of you to say!
