Still hung up on this series. Got a couple commission done so I indulged and painted another one. I knew i wanted to do a kingfisher but there are so many lovely ones to choose from. Probably should stick to North American ones if I want it to sell but damn the European ones are so darn lovely! Saw these the fiirst time while narrow boat canaling in Wales a number of years back. Lovely! Original and prins available. 12x12 acrylic on parchment. Thinking about some kind of parrot or cockatoo next.

OMG! I've been writing stories using this very kingfisher! Now I have pretty art to look at as a reference. Yayness!
Oooo cockatoos or parrots! I'll be keeping my eyes pealed. You always seem to find the species that others neglect -- just like I try to do. Absolutely love your art. This Nouveau theme you're working on is great. I'd love to see what other ones you'll do in this series. Make enough and you'll have a nice Nouveau art book on your hands.
This turned out lovely. I love the leaves and the little dragonfly too -- and of course the kingfishers. ^^

So many wonderful and different birds that you have yet to do and plan to do! There are just so many kinds of parrots that picking just one will be hard I bet! I hope to see a kiwi eventually, such a cute little bird. I still just love how all of these would look great made with metal to hold a painted animal or two, heh heh!
