my plight with trying to drink arbor mist, I HAVE YET to drink this or even try it and i want to so badly.
I have hated EVERY type of wine ive ever tried, every wine.
but tis gotten to the point where arbor mist has been so elusive that i may just force myself to enjoy it when i finally do get a taste.

Indeed! Moscato is very sweet and pleasant. If I could find more in those mini-size bottles I'd have it in my house more often!
My sister also turned me on to a sweet red called "House Jam." And it's VERY sweet and fruity, you'd never expect it from a red! Serve chilled, it's so good!

I actually work at the OG, so this comment made me giggle.
If you can find it, we also serve a fantastic d'Asti Moscato called 'Primo Amore', it's by far the tastiest moscato I've ever put in my mouth.
However supposedly OG has bought out rights to the Primo Amore moscato, which means you're not supposed to be able to find it anywhere but OG for the next two years. (This hasn't stopped me from finding it - and our house wines, which are never supposed to be sold outside of the restaurant - in a liquor store down the road, OHOHOHO)

My husband and I aren't really wine people either but we've been trying to find ones we do like because he's a cook, and when cooking with wine it's best to do it with something you like! To that end, we found two red's we enjoy. Red Diamond Merlot and Vampire Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon. The second one is fantastic and I would recommend to anyone, even non-wine drinkers. Unsurprisingly, it's most commonly available around Halloween but you can order it online from their website http://www.vampirevineyards.com/ Haven't found a white or rose we're particularly fond of yet so I can't help you there.
Yeah, you have to basically get a still and make it yourself.
Remarkable how mead was abandoned during the Renaissance. Today, there's only one country with any export business for it: Ethiopia. Stores in most Western countries don't carry it anymore.
What a shame, too. Honey-wine sounds like it'd be awesome.

Did you make it yourself, or import it from Ethiopia (the only country that still makes and exports it)?
As far as I've been able to find, those are the only two ways to get it anymore.
Is it good? I always wanted to try it, but all the stores have where I live is cheap American beer, low-bid wines, and a handful of the cheap & common hard stuff (rum, whiskey, vodka, etc.). Very limited selection, and over half the choices are the various brands of beer. <_<

There are quite a few Meaderies in Canada actually; Most of them are in BC or Ontario.

I like most wines just fine.
Seagram's "Escapes" are pretty darn good too.
I would NOT recommend you try Spiced Rum, or that blue-raspberry Vodka. Can't bring myself to pour it down the drain, so they've been sitting in my fridge for over a year. Both are really quite gross.

I used to never be into wine, actually I still am not really into much red wines themselves because of the dry taste usually that comes with most types. But I am not a true alcoholic if I don't try anything. Arbor Mist itself is kind of bleh really but that is because it is not much more than alcoholic soda. But I mean still has a nice sweet taste, it takes a long time to find a wine you really do enjoy a lot, I am a big fan of a cheap red called Riverboat Red, it is more of a lunch red and has horribly sweet tastes with it.
