A gorgeous image I commissioned from the delightful .

Yes, I have one more Xiā Chang'e image to present to you. I know I've been submitting a number of images depicting her, but I do hope you have been enjoying them as much I had in receiving them. This will be the last I will upload with Xiā for a while. Worry not though. I will feature more of her again in the future as I have more I would like to tell and show about her.

This is somewhat old and I had it sitting on my hard drive since last August. I wanted to upload it then, but waited. For what I don't remember. Although it may have had something to do with Jade Rabbit's eye. You see, Jade Rabbit is all green and has no other colors other than varying hues and values of green. However, the image is quite beautiful and I couldn't help but appreciate it and show it to everyone here. So please do enjoy this new, (old) image of Xiā Chang'e.

We see Xiā Chang'e here with her companion Jade Rabbit as they are returning from a journey to the Kun Lun mountains. They have gathered some Peaches of Immortality which grow once every 2,000 years from the Fruitful Peach Tree of Immortality in the garden that belongs to the Goddess of the West, Hsih Hwang Mu. Apparently, Jade Rabbit is having a little bit of difficulty carrying the full basket and Xiā is quite enraptured with the precious Peach in her hand to notice.

Originally illustrated sometime prior to August 21st, 2011. Exact date is unknown, but between the Spring and Summer of 2011.
