So, I've been giving some thought as to my art style and I think I would like to draw pictures like these.
My first willing subject is one of my favorite people
leahthecheetah.
For this, I wanted to draw some color, so I scanned this in and went with MS Paint.
It kept coming out weird and blotchy, until I added the interior inking lines, which accomplished what I needed it to, but it kinda stands out.
Anybody have some tips on how to soften the contrast of that?

Honestly I suggest Photoshop and you can color in layers.. Put the lineart in one layer, put a layer beneeth it, and the nset the lineart to multiply. Color in the layer below and you don't have to worry about coloring over the lines. It's like a coloring book, but you get to color under the lines vs over them. :D
