My avatar, Epershand.
ABOUT
It is a genderless creature, a mythos monster. It has a physique akin to a wolf and the antlers of a stag. The head, neck, and tail are furred, while the body feels like that of seal-skin.
Thought to be the bastard of a Kelpie and Cu Sith's demonic union, the beast is full of black fairie magick, said to whisk away unwary men and especially children upon its back to drown and devour them. It steals away the women back to the mound to nurse its masters' fiendish offspring. Beware this creature - it uses the evil power of the forest to disguise itself as an innocent creature, but the monster is always given away if you keep a sharp eye and wits about you! No matter the mask, the beast shows its three toes, an elongated tail, the buddings of devil horns, and spell binding, moon-like eyes.
+ Name: Epershand
+ Sex: Genderless/Neuter
+ Species: Monster (said to have Kelpie and Cu Sith blood)
+ Nature: Playful, though dangerous. It is not a malevolent creature, and only comes when called, to fulfill duties, or to eat.
+ Color: Black with green sheen. White, glowing eyes. Knots are part of the sheen, but can faintly glow.
+ In purest form, has knot markings along body. It is said that the markings constantly shift and flow along the beast's form, and no one has ever documented the knots entirely. One knot, the triquetra/trifecta, is always seen.
+ Sometimes may have water flora tangled in its fur or braids in its tail fur.
+ Shape changer
+ Antlers are three points, no more, no less
+ Three toes per foot
+ Unnaturally long tail, semi curled at the tip.
+ Very large, around the size of a bull.
+ Appears dry but always feels wet to the touch
+ Furred head, neck, and tail
+ Body and legs akin to seal skin; this skin may become adhesive to trap riders. These riders are brought to the water, and are drowned and then devoured.
+ May breathe in or out of water
+ Lures women with play back to the fairy mound.
+ With the blood of the Kelpie, Epershand can cause minor flooding to overwhelm passers-by.
+ If any beast drowns, it is Epershand's job to ferry them to the world beyond. Because of this, the sighting of Epershand is an omen of death.
+ At night, you will hear the beast howl three times.
+ Epershand does not always desire to maim, hunt, or kill, but sometimes enjoys a more playful side, and will terrify the people around by taking them for a dunking rather than a drowning.
