This is my very first real attempt at drawing. I really dig anthroplanes and the like so I thought I'd make it this and see how it came out.
Don't expect this guy to be EVEN SLIGHTLY accurate to any sort of real plane, it was an exercise in perspective and just learning how to draw in general. I'll get better, don't worry. :)
The face looks like it's been drawn on with crayon. For some reason, I find this adorable. Anyhow, any tips would be helpful, specifically in the areas of highlights/reflections, I had some trouble with those.

You're doing well, then. Hey, if you're interested, there's a group for planesonas now -

(crud... didn't mean to post right away)
There's a certain bit of shameless self-promotion in this, as I also have a planesona... but I created the group after talking with a couple of other people with planesonas, and finding, with only a very little effort, at least 11 other people here on FA with one or more planesonas to their names.

lol no it really is. I've done minor 'doodles' that looked like outlines and shit just to learn a little bit about Adobe Illustrator, but this was the first time I sat down like "Ok, I'm going to draw an airplane if it takes me all day." I spent a long time making adjustments and figuring out highlights and whatever. The thing about using teh computer instead of sketching on paper, is that I can grab the lines and tweak them as I go along, so when I recognize that something is the wrong angle or size it's easy to adjust. I'm really bad about sketching on paper because the number of revisions i must do means a lot of erasing and smudging, and it looks terrible.
What will be a sign of my improvement may not be in visual quality per se, but perhaps in the reduced number of errors and corrections in the process. ;)
