i find it funny that the US has AAAAAAAAALL kinds of problems of its own with sick, homeless, disabled, hungry, ect. and nobody gives a shit. but when someone waaaay over someplace else has the same thing were like
"aww..look at those sad people over DERE!! they need our help!!" and we send all our money to other countries when it could get some darn good use here too

I think part of it is hubris. We as Americans generally believe our nation is the greatest in the world, so admitting we have problems is...difficult. And when these problems are brought to the fore, it is often brushed off with 'Well its not as bad as <insert Third World nation here>' and 'If you think its so bad go live in China!'.
yes. but we cannot be held singularly responsible for the entire worlds problems. we should adress our own before we end up like those other countries we so fight for.
not saying its bad to care about other places...just that you never see anyone campaigning for our own suffering people
(i say this as a person that the system has also ignored. i will be in a wheelchair soon because of the states lack of aid or care for its own sick and injured)

Ok, see I don't believe in that. They are in a much more unfortunate spot than us, meaning we are still ideal for most countries. For where third world countries have dirty water to drink, little to no food, and crumbling shelters. And in countries in Africa, there is a war in their backyard as we are fortunate enough to keep war off our own soil.
And incase you haven't been paying much attention, our very own president has been fighting for universal health care. That's one of our strides currently going on.
Plus I think you are lucky to live in a country that can provide a wheel chair where as there are kids a lot younger than you that won't be getting one.

and our country is in extreme debt, one of these reasons is the US sending all its money elsewhere rather than circulate it into itself.
give us a few decades..we will be the poor brokass country asking for help cause we couldnt sustain our shit
