Worked a really, really busy day at the farm today. Also been worrying and stressing over my grandmother being sick in the hospital the last couple of days. One of the nice women at the local vegetable co-op stopped by to give me some tips and she told me that you can EAT ASPARAGUS RAW. We munched on stalks of it cut fresh from the ground. Something about cutting food from the ground and just sticking it in my mouth feels really primal and feels like an instant connection to life in the earth all around me. Especially while considering the mortality of the woman I love most on this earth!
