CHAPTER ZERO - STORY INTRO

Never mind who I am, or what I want you to think of me. All you need to know is this: The world is in danger from an underground greater evil. You may have fought off demonic dragons and vampires, and one of the most powerful spirits alive. But you will not win against this, if corruption starts the domino effect. I beg of you, do not give in to corruption. Do not accept things that should be far beyond your reach. And most importantly: Protect the ones you consider your friends, as they will be key in helping to overcome this chaos.

"Huh- wha?!" Sparky woke with a start, blinking a few times and looking around quickly to observe his surroundings. Nothing. He was inside his homey cabin, in his fairly empty and quite tidy room. The neon fox opened the curtains enough to peak outside... Nothing. It was still dark out, and judging from the condensation on the window- it must've been quite cool as well. Sparky let out a soft and relieved sigh. "What was that about?" The fox thought. It wasn't exactly a dream, but his ears were perked as if someone was next to him. The voice was soft, having a very intelligent quality to it. The voice even sounded somewhat young... with a slight assertiveness to it however. Almost like his friend, Darkness Ethanblaze. There was an unusual presence in the room, but he couldn't place his finger on it. It wasn't evil, he even believed that he was still dreaming. Since it was late, he shrugged and got comfortable underneath his warm, soft comforter. The fox would slowly drift back to sleep.

That is, until the sound of breaking glass would wake him up.

Sparky woke up with yet another start, and the very moment he opened his eyes was the moment he was blinded by the bright morning light. He could have sworn that it was only a blink ago that it was still the crisp cool night. He looked at the time to realize it was 9:21am. He was late for his practices, and for a moment- he forgot about the sound of something breaking. But only for a moment. The fox hopped out of bed, his neon yellow fur showing some very light- near white highlights in his hair and chest, to the tip of his tail from the sunlight that was penetrating through the thin red curtains with ease. His lightning green eyes was locked onto his bedroom door, as if his sharp gaze alone would cut through the intruder if they were to break into his own personal rest area.

His paw reached out to turn the brass door knob. He closed his eyes once the latch was pulled into the door, and with a quick swift movement, he swung the door wide open...
